Evans Brown was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN. Evans’ father was a Mechanical Engineer and photographer, his mother a lower elementary educator and fine art painter. He is also the proud co-parent and father of two sons Parker (14) and Logan (12) who are killer snowboarders. If Evans is not on set he is with his sons on the mountain. Evans followed the creative path initiated by his parents and attended The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston for college, where he studied fine art black-and-white photography and filmmaking. After college Evans began working on films as a Director of Photography and Chief Lighting Technician. Evans continues to study the art of black and white photography focusing on the human condition as his father did. Evans has always been a lover of the photographic image as it relates to light. Going on photographic expeditions with his Father where he was instructed to call out “Pull over I see a picture!” Then his father would instruct him on composition, light, and a way of seeing he carries with him today. Evans’ career spans a variety of content, and after 20 career as a gaffer his career shifted landing him as a Cinematographer on productions like HBO’s “The Wire” and “True Blood,” as well as NBC’s “Constantine,” VH-1’s “The Breaks,” AMC’s “Halt and Catch Fire,” and Cinemax’s “Outcast.” Most recently, he worked on the Toronto based Amazon series called “The Boys” Evans favorate genre is spy thrillers. Instead of returning for Season Two of "The Boys," an opportunity arose to work with Adam McCarthy (Producing Director) on a remake of the series "Three Days of the Condor," a Series called “Condor” Most recent work includes the spy thriller "The Last Thing He Told Me" with Jennifer Garner. It was one of Evans' life goals to start and build a successful business. This opportunity arose while working on the HBO series *True Blood*, where Evans and his soon-to-be partners began formulating and designing plans for a company called Quasar Science, LLC an LED Technology and Logistics Company specializing in the design and high color rendering of LED lighting products. Evans responsibility at Quasar forms a wide range from product development to strategy, with a focus on the diversification of the company. This unique experience of starting a business has given Evans an appreciation for the products he is involved in making as a filmmaker building a new respect for producers and Studio Executives on a business level and an understanding of his responsibility to complete the day in a timely fiscally responsible manner.
